SUSTAINABILITY

Sustainability is really important for us and is the reason why we founded our brand. Wedocare- we care for our environment, for human rights and animals. We love our nature and want to do everything to protect it.

We are far away from being perfect but we try our best to work and produce as sustainable and fair as possible.

One big problem of the fashion industry is the wastage of clothes. Brands produce too much and burn or throw away what they can‘t sell. We try to work different. We produce after your order. This may cause a little longer shipping time but we avoid overproduction and the waste of usable clothes.

In addition to that, we look at the quality, to make sure that you can keep your clothes long if you treat them right.

Our clothes are certified by different seals. They make sure that the production is fair and sustainable, at least in comparison to common brands.

Furthermore, we donate 10% of our profit to the Organisation Project Wings. They care for sustainable development on Sumatra. Nachhaltigkeit ist uns sehr wichtig und auch der ursprüngliche Grund für die Gründung von wedocare. Allein der Name ruft dies förmlich aus. Wir wissen selbst, dass wir noch viel zu verbessern haben, aber wir geben unser Bestes, so Nachhaltig wie möglich zu sein.

Ein großes Problem der Modeindustrie ist die Vernichtung von Kleidung. Es wird zu viel produziert und vieles dann verbrannt oder einfach weggeworfen. Wir produzieren nur auf Bestellung, dass heißt, wenn du bei uns bestellst wird dein Piece erst dann hergestellt. Somit vermeiden wir die Überproduktion und Verschwenden von einwandfreien Produkten.

Ein weiteres Kriterium der Nachhaltigkeit ist die Langlebigkeit von Produkten. Darum setzten wir auf hohe Qualität, damit unsere Pieces lang und viel benutzt werden.

Natürlich geht es auch darum möglichst Nachhaltig zu produzieren. Alle unsere Produkte sind zertifiziert. Was die verschiedenen Zertifikate bedeuten kannst du im nächsten Punkt nachschauen.

Zudem spenden wir 10% unseres Gewinns zu der Organisation Project Wings. Sie bauen ein Dorf aus recyceltem Plastik in Sumatra und haben noch viel andere Projekte dort. Natürlich ist dass alles noch nicht perfekt und wir können damit bestimmt nicht die Welt retten, aber es ist schonmal ein Anfang.

Zertifikate

All of our products a certified with different certificates.

One of the most important ones ist the Fair wear foundation. The Organisation works together with many companies to improve the working conditions there, increase the employees wages, end gender-based violence or make sure that the employees are able to form associations to fight for their rights.

There are also other certificates that guarantee production without animal experiments or genetical modification and only with recycled materials and biological cotton. If you want to know what they are doing exactly you can press the signs to be forwarded to their homepage.

Im Einkauf muss man sich auf Zertifikate verlassen, dies ist natürlich nicht leicht da man selbst nicht nachprüfen kann ob die angegebenen Fakten so stimmen. Aber wir verlassen uns auf die Zertifikate und sind zuversichtlich, dass die Angaben von diesen stimmen. Welche Pieces genau, welche Zertifikate haben findest du im Shop. Wenn du dir ein Produkt anschaust siehst du bei den Fotos auch immer welche Zertifikate dieses Produkt hat.

Eines des wichtigsten Zertifikate ist das Fair Wear Zertifikat. Die Organisation arbeitet mit den produzierenden Firmen zusammen um die Arbeitsbedingungen, Löhne und die geschlechtsbezogene Gewalt, zu verbessern. Außerdem hilft sie Arbeitenden sich zu organisieren und für ihre Rechte einzustehen.

Andere Zertifikate garantieren die ausschließliche Verwendung von Bio-Baumwolle oder recycelten Rohstoffen. Zudem, dass keine Tierexperimente durchgeführt wurden oder genetisch-veränderte Materialien eingesetzt wurden.
